At Nicoya Surf School we offer surf lessons for all ages and levels on the best beaches of the Nicoya Peninsula — Montezuma, Cabuya, Santa Teresa, and Playa Hermosa. Our ISA-certified instructors have over 15 years of experience and tailor every class to your needs, whether you’re stepping on a board for the first time or ready to ride the green wave.

Choose Your Surf Lesson
Beginner Surf Lessons
Never surfed before? No problem! We take you to a safe, sandy beach break and get you standing on the board in your first class. Perfect for all ages.
What’s included: surf equipment, theoretical intro, safety techniques, fresh fruit.
Intermediate Surf Lessons
Already standing but want to ride the green wave? We take you to Cabuya, one of the best point breaks in Costa Rica, with long, gentle waves perfect for stepping up your surfing.
What’s included: surf equipment, advanced coaching, fruits, small groups (max 2 students per instructor).
Kids Surf Lessons
Surfing is one of the best gifts you can give your kids! Our program is specially designed around each child’s energy, abilities, and safety. Kids learn faster than adults and have an absolute blast doing it.
What’s included: age-appropriate surf equipment, safety introduction, fruits, attentive 1:1 or 1:2 coaching.
